Chennai International Film Festival will finally begin on January 6

Due to the floods, Chennai International Film Festival was postponed, now on full swing it’s going to start on January 6th 2016. The eight-day film festival will feature the best of 184 films from 57 countries.

The festival will also feature 12 Tamil films in the competition section and special retrospectives on noted Tamil filmmaker K. Balachander and actor Manorama.

“We will have a freewheeling discussion with filmmakers who attend the festival every day. The festival will be an opportunity for the audience to interact with filmmakers at a more personal level” Director of the Chennai International Film Festival, P. Thangaraj said.
